Abstract

52-year-old woman who had lung cancer was admitted to evaluate whether systemic metastasis was present. Right renal uptake of radioisotope was not demonstrated, but focal increased uptake in the region of right sacroiliac joint mimicked the skeletal
etastasis. Following 99mTc-dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) renal scan and excretory urogram showed abnormally located right kidney.
